YOUTH ROCK!

Since we are not in school, we took advantage of the first weekend in June.  We went to Albuquerque for the Jubilee held at the Balloon Fiesta Park.  It was AWESOME!!!  We watched the praise band from Calvary of Albuquerque and Iv.  They are cool.  The last band was Jars Of Clay!!!  The music was way cool and the message in the music to praise God was super schway!!!!  We got to listen to a message from Josh MDowell and his son Sean McDowell.  It was neat to be a part of a HUGE crowd of people our own age, standing in silence, to a message that no matter what is happening in our lives, God is there waiting for us to come to him.  Josh explained how he went into the world, to many countries, to write a book to disprove the Bible.  When he was finished, he had volumes of information proving God does exist and proving the Bible is valid.  We plan on attending the Jubilee next year.  Plus we will be making plans to attend Freedom Fest at Cliff's Amusement Park Labor Day weekend.  We went to Freedom Fest last year and it was a BLAST.  If anyone wants to join us, please contact De or come to one of our meetings.

Talking about coming to our meetings, Art Veeder will be joining us Sunday, July 5th.  He has a magic number square he is going to teach us to use.  We can hardly wait to figure this one out.  Thank you Mr. Veeder for making plans to spend some time with us.

We are still visiting the Silver Care Center on the fourth Sunday of every month.  We are still playing dominos.  In the next visits, we are going to start card games.

    God Bless,
    YMYF
