UNITED METHODIST WOMEN

The organization of United Methodist women shall be a community of women whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

As we work in the mission field, we have missions that reach locally, nationally and throughout the world.

Some of our local missions are: Gospel Mission and Fort Bayard Patient Trust Fund.

In the New Mexico area we help McCurdy School, Four Corners Native American Ministry, Houchen Community Center, Lydia Patterson Institute, Casa de Amon Para Ninjos Orphanage in Palomas, Mexico and the Way of Ruth gleaning program.

Our National and global missions are managed by the UMW program of the United Methodist Church.

Silver City First UMC Home	United Methodist Women United Methodist Women will not be meeting again until September. Although we will not be meeting for the next few months, we will not be discontinuing our mission projects. S.A.R.T.S. is a program that we have been participating in to help victimized women. If you have anything you would like to donate to go into bags for these ladies, please drop it off at the church office or in the box in the narthex. We are collecting travel size shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hair brushes, deodorant, sweat pants and sweat shirts and anything else you may think of that will help to comfort women after their tragedy. Thank you for your support, and if you would like more information on how you can help us with this special project, please call Betsy Evatt. Circle One Circle One will have their next meeting on July 15th at 1:00pm. All women of the church are invited to attend and particiapte.
