January How
blessed are we to be experiencing another new year? As we look toward
the next year with great anticipation, and maybe some trepidation as
well, let
us praise our Lord. He has a gain blessed us with a new year, and a new
beginning. Happy New Year to you and God Bless! “Praise the Lord. Praise the Lord from
the heavens, praise him in the
heights above. Praise him, all his angels, praise him all his heavenly
hosts.
Praise him sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars. Praise him
you
highest heavens and you waters above the skies. Let them praise the
name of the
Lord, for he commanded that they were created. He set them in a place
for ever
and ever; he gave decree that will never pass away.” Little
LambsThank you all so much for

Moment #2
Did
you know...That
the word “Methodist” was originally used as a derogatory term? In 1726,
at Christ Church in Oxford, England, Charles Wesley formed a society
which was known as the Holy Club. These persons were also derisively
known as ‘Enthusiasts’ and ‘Bible Moths.’ Within the society, the
Wesley brothers adopted certain rules for right living, and apportioned
their time very methodically and systematically to study and religious
duties, allotting as little as possible to sleeping and eating, and as
much time as possible to devotion. This precise regularity caused a
member of Christ Church to say derisively, “Here is a new set of
Methodists sprung up.” John Wesley, in an address to George II,
designates his societies “the people in derision called Methodists,”
and in his English Dictionary he defines a Methodist as “one who lives
according to the method laid down in the Bible.”
